Human Exchanges

Human Exchanges

Read Introduction

We simultaneously exist as our own individual beings as well as individuals amidst a sea of others. Sometimes we interact by choice. Sometimes by force. And sometimes by need.

The hands that most people possess are powerful tools of communication. We use them to indicate. Gesticulate. Operate. And connect. We use them in positive ways. Productive ways. Destructive ways. Helpful ways. Tender ways. Violent ways. And supportive ways. We use them to empower others as well as disempower. And we use them to acknowledge a shared feeling or sentiment.

Amidst the fury of technological innovation and digital communication, there are few connections as visceral, intimate, or demonstrative as the hands of two people interacting.
