from the renovation of the Supreme Court building

Canada’s Supreme Court building is an icon of the country’s civic architecture. Designed in Art Deco style by Ernest Cormier and completed in 1946, its cornerstone was laid by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother just before the outbreak of the Second World War. Now, after nearly 80 years of service, the Supreme Court building is getting a much-needed renovation, ensuring its continued existence as a home for nationwide justice.
